The Army Headquarters declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Saïd Abou Arab

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Saïd Abou Arab who passed away on 4/11/2016 and the following excerpts offer a summary of his biography:
Born on 1/07/1940 in Zgharta
Enlisted in the Army as a Cadet Officer starting 9/10/1959 and was promoted to Second Lieutenant starting 14/9/1962 and rose through the ranks and became Brigadier General starting 1/1/1990.
Received several medals and the commendation of the LAF Commander several times.
Followed several training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
Married with 4 children.
The body will be transported from “el-Sharq el-Awsat Hospital” – Bsalim on 5/11/2016 at 9:00 to the church of Saint Joseph – Zgharta where the funeral will take place on the same day at 16:30.
Condolences can be paid before and after the funeral and on 6/11/2016 starting 10:00 till 19:00 in the hall of Saint Joseph church – Zgharta and on 7/11/2016 starting 11:00 till 19:00 in the hall of Saint Takla church – Jal el Deeb.
