He toured the new endoscopy branch, which now accommodates 4 endoscopy workshops and 8 recovery rooms. Then he moved to the coronary artery bypass lab, to which a new laboratory was added, equipped with the latest medical tools and equipment, allowing imaging of the peripheral arteries, after they were limited to coronary heart imaging. The tour ended in the one-day surgery department, which has a capacity of 12 beds.
General Aoun commended the efforts made by the military personnel and members of the medical staff in the Military Healthcare to provide services to about 400,000 beneficiaries, despite the difficult conditions and the economic crisis that the country is going through, stressing that healthcare is still a priority of Army Command, in order to be able to progress and keep pace with scientific development and improve the level of health services provided to the military and their families.
