Raids and arrests of wanted individuals in Hay Al Sharawneh – Baalbek

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following  statement:
On 10/07/2023, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the locations of a number of wanted drug dealers in Hay Al Sharawneh – Baalbek accused of kidnapping a Saudi citizen who was released on a previous date. During the raid, the patrol came under fire, and returned fire. As a result, two of the wanted individuals were wounded and one arrested, and three soldiers were slightly wounded.
Simultaneously, an army force carried out raids in the aforementioned neighborhood, and seized a vehicle containing 5 Kalashnikov assault rifles, an RPG launcher and a hand grenade, in addition to a quantity of ammunition.
The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities
