The liberation of the kidnapped citizen Badie Al Hajj and the arrest of the operation’s planner in the west Beqaa

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 28/09/2023, after receiving information about individuals attempting to kidnap the citizen Badie Al Hajj from his home in Kamid Al Lawz – West Bekaa, military units implemented security measures, including raids, conducting patrols, and checkpoints. This was carried out simultaneously with a security operation by the Intelligence Directorate, which resulted in the arrest of the citizen (H.H.), the planner of the kidnapping operation, in the outskirts of the town of Majdal Anjar - West Bekaa.

Furthermore, the Intelligence Directorate succeeded in liberating the kidnapped individual on 29/09/2023, on the Arab Highway. The residence of the arrested individual in Kamid Al Lawz was raided, and weapons and ammunition were seized.

The investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
