Arrest of 14 Individuals in Burj Al Arab - Akkar and Brital - Bekaa for Committing Various Crimes

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures carried out by the military institution in various areas, patrols from the Intelligence Directorate, in coordination with army units, arrested 14 individuals as follows:

• 6 citizens in Burj Al Arab - Akkar for their involvement in a clash that took place in the town on 21/01/2024. Weapons, ammunition, and military equipment were seized in their possession.
• 3 citizens and 4 Syrians in Brital - Bekaa for their involvement in theft. Stolen cars and motorcycles were seized in their possession, along with a quantity of Hashish, drugs, and military equipment.
• The Palestinian (M.H.) for transporting firearms. RPGs were found in his possession.

The confiscated items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
