VISITORS OF GENERAL AOUN

The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun, received in his office in Yarzeh the Japanese Ambassador to Lebanon, Masayuki Magoshi, accompanied by the military attaché, Colonel Seiichiro Akimitsu, and his successor, Colonel Tomonari Higuchi. Then United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka.  The discussion covered the general situation in Lebanon and the region.
He also received the Commander of the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon, Major General Aroldo Lázaro, and they discussed the coordination between the army and UNIFIL and developments on the southern border.
