Arrest of 86 Syrians in Al Abdeh who were preparing to smuggle illegally by sea

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 19/7/2024, and within the framework of combating illegal smuggling, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested 86 Syrians in Al Abdeh who were preparing to smuggle illegally by sea to Italy. The boat was also confiscated.
The investigation with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
