Arrest of 36 Syrians as Part of Security Measures in Various Regions

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution across various regions, two army units, each supporting a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, arrested 36 Syrians as follows:

• 24 Syrians were arrested at the Deir Ammar checkpoint in the North for illegally roaming within Lebanese territory.
• 12 Syrians were arrested in the Beit Al Tashm area in Hermel for illegally entering Lebanese territory.

The detainees were handed over, and the investigation was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
