Wanted Individuals arrested and firearms, Ammunition, and an amount of drugs seized as Part of Security Measures

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution in various regions, two army units, each supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, arrested 89 individuals as follows:

  • The arrest of 86 Syrians in Deir Ammar and Shadra – North for illegally entering Lebanese territory.
  • The arrest of 3 citizens in Majdaloun - Baalbek for committing crimes of kidnapping, drug trafficking, and opening fire, and seizing of a firearm, ammunition, military equipment, and a quantity of hashish.

Additionally, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested the citizen (AA.AA.) in Choueifat for opening fire, and a firearm was seized in his possession. It also raided the residences of individuals wanted for arms trafficking in Brital - Baalbek and seized an amount of drugs, firearms, and military ammunition.

The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
