He extended his gratitude for the military assistance provided by the European Union and for supporting its efforts in fighting terrorism.
Our battle with terrorism is ongoing and restless. We shall never stop until all its gathering locations and sabotaging webs are abolished, and any terrorist act at the borders or inside the country is put to a halt.
We consider this battle to be an ultimate priority for the Lebanese Armed Forces and a part of Lebanon’s effort in the frame of the efforts of the International Community, exerted in order to face this substantial peril lurking to target all humanity. Therefore, we are filled with confidence that our friend countries, on top of the list is the European Union with which we share the values of freedom, peace and openness, will continue to provide support for the Lebanese Armed Forces and the security units. We hope that this important project, intended for training and related to the technical and administrative aspects, would be the cornerstone to build further cooperation between us in the coming phases.” General Kahwagi added.
