A live fire combat drill in the shooting range of Hannoush – Hamat

Army units from the 1st Land Border Regiment and the 1st Intervention Regiment with the participation of the Navy and the Air Force and under the supervision of the Special Forces School conducted a live fire combat drill in Hannoush – Hamat shooting range. The drill simulated an attack against a terrorist group entrenched inside fortified hideouts.
During the maneuver, shootings with, tanks, helicopters, medium and heavy weapons took place and explosives were detonated. The maneuver also included air support and disembarkation and the evacuation of injured individuals from the battlefield using helicopters.
This maneuver comes in the frame of a qualitative training plan set by the Army Command in order to increase the level of preparedness of units and their readiness for swift and efficient intervention in different combat circumstances.
