Security Measures Taken By The LAF During March In Various Lebanese Regions

The Army Headquarters - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As a result of the security measures taken by Army units in different Lebanese regions during the past month of March, these units arrested around 1718 individuals of different nationalities, some of them for being involved in different crimes, trafficking narcotics, theft, smuggling and possession of weapons and narcotics and others for committing different violations that include unlawful roaming in the Lebanese territories and unlawfully driving cars and motorcycles.

The confiscated items amounted to different types of combat weapons and an amount of explosives and light ammunition, narcotics and smuggled tobacco and Oil as well as communication devices and surveillance cameras in addition to 86 vehicles, 2 fishing boats and 66 motorcycles.

The arrested individuals were turned in along with the confiscated items to the relevant authorities in order to take the necessary measures.
