Intercepting a boat attempting to unlawfully leave the Lebanese territorial waters

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On this date, a patrol from the Naval Forces arrested 15 naval miles from Amchit shore a boat attempting to unlawfully leave the Lebanese territorial waters towards Cyprus, with 24 Syrian individuals on board.

Investigations were carried out under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
