The Army Headquarters declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Salemeh el-Hajj Sleiman

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Salemeh el-Hajj Sleiman who passed away on 25/2/2017 and the following excerpts offer a summary of his biography:

• Born on 1/7/1939 in Bidneyil – Baalbeck.
• Enlisted in the Army on 1/10/1961 and was promoted to Second Lieutenant starting 1/9/1964 and rose through the ranks and became Brigadier General starting 1/1/1991.
• Received several medals and the commendation of the LAF Commander several times.
• Followed several training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
• Married with four children.

The funeral took place in the Huseyniah of Bidneyil – Bekaa on 26/2/2017

Condolences can be paid on 28/2/2017 starting 10:00 till 18:00 and ceremonial rituals will be performed at 12:00 in the residence of the deceased in the mentioned village and on 1/3/2017 starting 14:00 till 19:00 in the Islamic Association Center for specialization and scientific orientation – Jnah.
