Arrest of 130 Syrians, and 5 citizens for sneaking across the sea illegally

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 12/08/2023, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate supported by an Army Unit arrested 130 Syrians and 4 citizens, in El Cheikh Zannad- Akkar, for trying to sneak illegally across the sea towards and European country.

In addition, the operation’s Head, the citizen (Ch. S.) was arrested.

The investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
