Arrest of 3 Lebanese in the Hay Al Seloum – Dahiye Janoubiyah for forming a robbery and armed theft gang and drug trafficking

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 16/02/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, supported by an army unit, carried out a raid in Hay Al Seloum – Dahiye Janoubiyah. They arrested the citizens (R.D.), (M.S.), and (H.Y.) for forming a gang involved in robbery, theft by force of arms, and drug trafficking. During the arrest, the last individual opened fire towards the patrol, and the patrol returned fire, which led to his injury. He was wanted for several arrest warrants related to shooting and his involvement in a clash that led to the death of an individual. A military pistol and a quantity of cocaine were found in his possession.
The confiscated items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
