Arrest of 8 Individuals as Part of Security Measures in Various Areas

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution in various areas, intelligence units arrested 6 individuals as follows:

• Citizens (AA.A.), (AA.M.), and (H.J.) were arrested in Dahiye Janoubiye for committing thefts of homes and commercial stores following Israeli airstrikes in the mentioned area, in addition to drug abuse.
• Citizen (M.M.) was arrested in Bir Hassan – Dahiye Janoubiye for committing around 30 thefts in Ashrafieh and Gemmayzeh, and many stolen items were seized at his residence.
• Syrian nationals (H.S.) and (A.M.) were arrested in the Wata Musaitbeh – Beirut for possessing a quantity of drugs intended for distribution, along with a military handgun.

Additionally, a unit of the army arrested citizens (AA.AA.) and (Kh.Kh.) at the Madfoun checkpoint in the north for possessing a large quantity of drugs and military equipment.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
