Arrest of a Syrian woman in Borj Hammoud and raid on a wanted individual's residence in Al Nakhleh – Al Koura

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 19/04/2024, after a surveillance and monitoring operation, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate arrested the Syrian (S.AA.W.), in Borj Hammoud for drug abuse and trafficking, as well as for driving an illegal vehicle. A large quantity of drugs was found in her possession.
Furthermore, another patrol, supported by an army unit, raided the residence of the wanted citizen (AA.AA.) on 20/04/2024 in the town of Al Nakhleh – Al Koura. They seized 7 firearms, a large quantity of ammunition, and 42 grenades.
The seized items were handed over, and the investigation with the arrestee was initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
