Ceremony for the Receipt of a Donation from Korean Authorities to the Children of Martyrs and Individuals with Disabilities
A ceremony was held at the Officers' Club in Yarzeh for the receipt of 813 laptops and tablets donated by the Korean authorities to the children of fallen soldiers (Martyrs) and individuals with disabilities. The ceremony was attended by the Korean Ambassador to Lebanon, IL Park, the Head of the Military Veterans' Care and Social Affairs Department, representing Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, Mrs. Naamat Aoun, the wife of the Army Commander, and Mrs. Lea Al Aqouri, the head of the Martyr Lieutenant Colonel Sobhi Al-Aqouri Foundation, along with several officers and the families of the military personnel receiving the donation.
The Korean Ambassador emphasized that the donation aims to empower the children of fallen soldiers and those with disabilities to access knowledge, broaden their horizons, and fully realize their potential, highlighting education as a vital means to ensure a better future.
On the other hand, Brigadier General Jihad Merhi, Head of the Military Veterans' Care and Social Affairs Department, acknowledged the ongoing support from the Korean authorities to the army, considering these relations a model of true friendship and goodwill. He presented a letter of gratitude on behalf of General Aoun to the Korean Ambassador.
