The first group of trainee soldiers joined the army as part of the plan's first phase to reinforce military units deployed in the South.

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

The first group of trainee soldiers has joined the army as part of the first phase of the plan to reinforce military units deployed in the South, which includes recruiting 6,000 personnel in order to implement Resolution 1701 and its annexes. The volunteers have begun attending training courses in the relevant units to subsequently be distributed to the various military units.
