The graduation of Masters students in Strategic Studies
Under the patronage and presence of the Armed Forces commander General Joseph Aoun, the graduation ceremony of Masters students in Strategic Studies was held in the Center of strategic studies in Rihaniye according to a joint program between the mentioned center and the Faculty of Law and political and administrative sciences in the Lebanese University. The ceremony was held with the presence of the president of the Lebanese University Mr. Fouad Ayoub representing the minister of High Education Mr. Marwan Hamade as well as the Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Hatem el Mallak and brigadier generals from the university faculties in addition to professors and major high –ranked officers and scientific figures.
The ceremony began with the national anthem then the director of the center Brigadier General P.S.C Fadi Abi Farraj and the dean of the faculty of Law and political and administrative sciences Dr. Kamil Habib delivered speeches in which they commended the importance of the bilateral cooperation in terms of exchanging expertise and providing the opportunity for officers to major in strategic studies .
The speeches were followed by a speech for the president of the Lebanese University Mr. Fouad Ayoub who confirmed that the Lebanese University is in constant cooperation with the LAF and the LAF Commander who gives education and knowledge all the attention and seeks to build an army of educated elements.
Then, the Armed Forces Commander delivered a speech in which he confirmed that defending the nation is a responsibility which the army is honored to assume in light of internal and regional challenges requiring us all to have close cooperation and swift response in order to face dangers targeting us, whether as a result of the schemes of the Israeli enemy, greedy for our land and water resources or through the schemes of terrorists. General Aoun also stated that the program of strategic studies gives the graduates a valuable background in strategic sciences through which they are eminent to a promising phase of hard work and effort and exploiting their knowledge for the benefit of Lebanon. General Aoun then congratulated the graduates and expressed his appreciation to the Lebanese University and commended the efforts of the Center of Research and Strategic studies.
The ceremony ended with the distribution of the diplomas to the graduation and with the commemorative shield being offered to the president of the Lebanese University Mr. Fouad Ayoub.
