Inauguration ceremony of an agricultural road in Wajh al Hajar – North

An inauguration ceremony of an agricultural road was held in Wajh al Hajar – North after being constructed and paved by the Civil – Military Cooperation Directorate under the cooperation project with the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Brigadier General P.S.C. Ali Shreif representing the Lebanese Army Commander in Chief General Joseph Aoun, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Lebanon Mr. Hans Peter Van Der Woude, the Director of the Civil – Military Cooperation Directorate, along with public, religious and social figures, and a number of officers.

General Shreif thanked the Dutch authorities for their repeated initiatives to support the army and the Lebanese, stressing that the military institution is standing by the citizens in various regions, extending a helping hand and supporting them to overcome difficulties.

On the other hand, Ambassador Van Der Woude affirmed his country's continued support for Lebanon and its army, and its continued active participation in the cooperation program between the two sides.
