The Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, General Joseph Aoun continues to accept condolences for the death of his mother, Mrs. Hoda Ibrahim Makhlouta, in St. Therese Church - Fiyadieh. Condolences were offered by: His Excellency Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the former Presidents of the Republic, Sheikh Amin Gemayel and General Michel Aoun accompanied by his wife, and the former Prime Minister Fouad Sanyoura and Dr. Hassan Diab, and Bishop Boulos Al Sayyah, representing his Beatitude Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al Rahi and the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Beirut, Bishop Elias Awde, and Bishop Costa Kayyal, representing the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, John 10th  Yazigi, the Judge Sheikh Ghandi Makarem representing the Druze sect's spiritual leader Sheikh Sami Abi Al Mouna, and the head of the Alawite Islamic Council, Sheikh Ali Kaddour, deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Elias Bou Saab, Minister and former MP Walid Jumblatt, Minister Ali Hamieh, and Hezbollah Liaison and Coordination Unit official Wafiq Safa who offered condolences on behalf of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, and the Vice President of the Free Patriotic Movement for Political Affairs, Martine Najm Kteily, at the head of a delegation representing the head of the movement, MP Gebran Bassil, and a number of current and former ministers and representatives, ambassadors, spiritual, judicial, military, media, social, economic, and artistic figures, and popular delegations.
Mourners may continue to offer their condolences on January 8, 2024, starting from 10:00 until 18:00 in St. Therese Church – Fiyadieh.
