Operation to Seize and Foil the Smuggling of a Quantity of Weapons and Military Ammunition in the Beddawi Camp – Tripoli and the Al-Aboudiyeh Area – Akkar

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Following the statement issued on January 24, 2025, regarding the arrest of six individuals in the Port area - Tripoli, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the home of the arrested individual (A.A.) in the Beddawi Camp - Tripoli and seized a number of weapons and military ammunition.

Additionally, a unit of the army, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons and ammunition from Syrian territory into Lebanese territory in the Al Aboudiyeh area – Akkar.

The seized items have been handed over, and an investigation has begun under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
