Raids in Sharawneh- Baalbek and the villages of Al Noura and Hikr Jannin- Akkar

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 2/3/ 2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided a house in Sharawneh- Baalbek in search of the wanted individual (H.R.J.), but he was not found. Several other houses were also raided in search of him, where approximately one ton of Captagon pills and a large quantity of amphetamine used for pill manufacturing were found Inside the house of a Lebanese individual (H.N.), along with a quantity of weapons and ammunition.

On 3/3/2024, an army unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided houses of wanted individuals in the villages of Al Noura and Hikr Jannin in Akkar. They arrested the Lebanese (A.A.A.), (Z.A.), (A.A.A.), (J.J.), and the Syrian (M.A.) for engaging in arms and ammunition trafficking and smuggling activities.

The seized items were handed over and investigations was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
