Rescue of 17 Syrians Attempting to Leave Lebanon by Sea Illegally off the Coast of Chekka - Batroun

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On November 30, 2024, a patrol from the naval forces of the army rescued 17 Syrians while they were attempting to leave Lebanon by sea illegally after their boat malfunctioned off the coast of Chekka - Batroun.

The army assisted them with the help of the Lebanese Red Cross and took charge of transporting the boat to shore.
