Soldiers arrested in several regions and individuals arrested

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

LAF units arrested 16 individuals at the background of the incidents that took place in several Lebanese regions last night. In Tripoli public properties and several banks in addition to buildings belonging to political parties were the target of riot and a hand grenade that did not explode was cast, in addition to Molotov bombs towards the soldiers, not to mention throwing stones towards them, leading to the injury of 33 soldiers.

Moreover, the LAF confiscated several motorcycles left behind by their owners who escaped.

Also, at the old Sidon road, between Chiyah and Ain el Remmaneh, while restoring peace in the region, 10 soldiers were injured after and exchange in throwing stones between individuals. As for Bekfaya, while the LAF was reopening the road, 8 soldiers were injured after an exchange in throwing stone between the citizens and the marching convoys as well as the clash that took place afterwards.

The LAF was able to restore the situation to its natural state in all regions.

Interrogation with the arrested individuals was carried out under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
