The Sad Demise of Retired Brigadier General Ghassan Abd el- Samad

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Ghassan Abd el-Samad who passed away on 13/10/2020. The following is a brief summary of his life and military career:

−    Born on: 14/1/1958 in Beirut.
−    Enlisted in the Army on 4/9/1980 and rose through the ranks, starting as a Lieutenant on 01/08/1982 and reached the rank of Brigadier General on 01/01/2011.
−    Received several medals, as well as commendations and congratulations of the LAF Commander several times.
−    Followed several education and training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
−    Married with 3 children.

The body is transported on 15/10/2020 at 8:00 am from the Central Military Hospital to the town of Amatour-Chouf, where the funeral will take place on the same date at 12:00 in the town hall, followed by the burial in the cemetery.
Condolences will be accepted before and after the funeral and until 18/10/2020 in the house of the father of the deceased in the town of Amatour-Chouf.
