Residences of wanted individuals and narcotics factories raided in Dar El Wasaah – Baalbek

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 02/12/ 2021, an army unit, assisted by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, carried out raids of wanted individuals’ residences and narcotics factories in Dar El Wasaah – Baalbek. The citizen (M.M.) was arrested.

Equipment and machines for drug manufacturing, 2.5 kg of Hashish, 50 kg of marijuana and an amount of Captagon pills were seized inside one of the factories.

A quantity of unprocessed Hashish was destroyed.

During the raid, Lebanese army units were exposed to fire and RPGs by unknown persons but no casualties. Which forced the patrol members to return fire.

The arrestee and the seized items were turned in to the competent judicial authorities.
