Visitors of the Interim LAF Commander

The Interim Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, Major General Hassan Audi, received in his office in Yarzeh Parliamentary Secretary to the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Robert Oliphant, in the presence of Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon Stefanie McCollum. Then, he received MP Akram Chehayeb, and discussions covered the general situation in Lebanon and the region. Major General Audi also received the Saudi Military Attaché, Naval Colonel Fawaz bin Musaed Al Mutairi, and discussions covered the ways to enhance cooperation between the armies of the two countries. He also received a delegation from the Lebanese Armed Forces Veterans Association headed by retired Major General Nicolas Mezher. Discussions focused on the affairs of retired soldiers, a delegation from the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), and the situation on the southern border were discussed.
