Visit of the Minister of National Defense to the Armed Forces Command

Minister of National Defense, Michel Mnassa visited the LAF Command, where he was received by the interim LAF Commander, Major General Hassan Audi. A group of military personnel provided the necessary honors, after which he met with several officers from the command. He emphasized that the army is the backbone of Lebanon due to its role in maintaining security and stability, considering it a model to be emulated among institutions. He also praised the LAF’s performance in executing deployments in the south and congratulated the military personnel on the coinciding of the holy month of Ramadan with the start of Lent.

On the other hand, Major General Audi expressed his gratitude to Minister Mnassa for his support of the military institution.

Following this, the Acting LAF Commander received the Minister of Defense in his office and briefed him on the LAF’s missions, needs, and the challenges it faces in the current phase. In return, the Minister of Defense confirmed his commitment to supporting the rights of active-duty and retired military personnel.
