Arrest of 5 Citizens as Part of Security Measures

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On April 4, 2025, as part of security measures, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, supported by a unit from the army, raided the residences of wanted individuals in Al Laylaki – Dahiye Janoubiyeh, and arrested citizen (AA.Z.) for forming an armed robbery gang, drug use and trafficking, shooting, and transporting military weapons and ammunition. They also arrested the citizen (H.H.) for committing theft, drug use and trafficking, provoking clashes, firing weapons, and seized a military pistol.
Additionally, an army unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, arrested citizens (H.F.) and (A.H.) at Harbta checkpoint in Baalbek for possessing a quantity of military ammunition, and another unit arrested citizen (W.K.) at the Madfoun checkpoint – North for possessing an amount of drugs and a firearm.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
