The center was founded since 1/1/2007 according to memorandum of service number 26870/personnel/technical on 3/11/2006.

The missions
The missions commissioned to the strategic research and studies center can be summarized as follows:

• Preparing strategic researches and studies.
• Analyzing books and studies.
• Studying draft laws and treaties.
• Analyzing national issues.
• Keeping up with local, regional and international developments.
• Studying current and potential enemies.
• Conducting scientific researches and specialized studies.
• Coordinating with specialized agencies and Staff.
• Keeping up with technological and scientific developments.
• Establishing connections between the Center and other similar centers.
• Documenting lectures, researches and seminars.
• Conducting diverse intellectual missions and activities.
