9 individuals arrested in the Bekaa Valley

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

The Army units deployed in the Bekaa Valley carried out security measures last night, which resulted in the arrest of citizen (Y.J), his brother (Y.J.) and citizen (R.J) at the station -Hermel checkpoint, while they were trying to smuggle 20 tons of agricultural fertilizer, packed in Bags and loaded in two pickup trucks without legal documents.

 Six people were also arrested for committing the crimes of: opening fire from firearms, smuggling people and driving a car without legal documents. A handgun, a car and a pickup truck were seized in their possession.

The arrestees and the seized items were turned in to the competent judicial authorities.
