Appointment of Brigadier General Mohamed El Amin as Director General of Administration and member of the Military Council at the Ministry of National Defense, and promotion him to the rank of Major General P.S.C.
The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Based on Decree No. 106 dated April 3, 2025, Brigadier General Mohammad Al-Amin was appointed Director General of Administration and a member of the Military Council at the Ministry of National Defense. Based on Decree No. 108 dated April 3, 2025, he was promoted to the rank of Major General P.S.C.
The following is a brief biography of him:
- Born in Mazraa, Beirut, on January 13, 1971.
- Volunteered in the army as a cadet officer on January 4, 1993.
- Graduated from the Military College with the rank of Lieutenant on August 1, 1995, and was promoted to Major General on April 3, 2025.
- Holds a university degree in Military Sciences, Master of Science in National Resource Strategy.
- Fluent in English and Hebrew.
- He attended several courses abroad, including: a Commando Instructor Course in Syria, the United Nations Staff Officer Course in Germany, a Basic Infantry Course, Civil-Military Response to Terrorism & Maritime Terrorism, Eisenhower School, Airborne, and Ranger, all in the United States, as well as several courses at home, including a Commando Course, a Battalion Commander Course, a Raiding Course, and a Landing Instructor Course.
- He carried out several academic and non-academic missions abroad.
- Held various leadership positions, including Commander of the Fifth Intervention Regiment and Chief of the Intelligence Branch in the Bekaa Region.
- Received the following decorations: Conference Commemorative Medal for 2002 - Military Appreciation, Silver Class - Wounded twice - War Medal - Lebanese Merit, Third Class - National Cedar, Knight's Rank - Counter-Terrorism Medal - Lebanese Merit, Second Class - National Cedar, Officer's Rank.
- Received the Army Commander's Commendation and Congratulations several times.
- Married with two children.
