Armed clash between Lebanese citizens in the village of Hourtaala

The Lebanese Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Yesterday a brawl broke out between citizens in the village of Hourtaala – Baalbeck as a result of previous disputes between families. The dispute escalated to an armed clash with light and medium caliber weapons. An Army force intervened promptly following the clash to impose peace and stability. The Army force came under fire and an army officer was slightly injured during the clash. The Army troops fired back at the source of fire and launched raids that led to the arrest of 3 perpetrators who participated in the incident. Quantities of weapons, ammunition and military equipment were confiscated during the raids.
The situation was back to normal and army forces are still in pursuit of the remaining perpetrators in order to arrest them and turn them in to the judicial authorities.
