The Army Arrests 20 Individuals, Including Members of an Armed Robbery Gang, as Part of Operations Targeting Wanted Persons and Security Offenders in the North

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Army units carried out various security operations in the North, including raids, motorized patrols, and temporary checkpoints, as part of efforts to pursue wanted individuals and security offenders. The operations resulted in the arrest of 11 citizen and nine Syrians, as follows:

• Arrest of citizens (M.M.), (A.F.), (B.B.), and (B.S.), along with Syrian (M.Z.), in Tabbaneh - Tripoli for carrying out an armed robbery against a company and opening fire, resulting in the injury of a citizen.
• Arrest of citizens (B.H.), (AA.A.), (M.H.), and (AA.N.) in Al Kneiseh - Akkar, for possessing a handgun and a quantity of Captagon pills.
• Arrest of the citizen (A.S.) in Jabal Mohsen - Tripoli for opening fire. A firearm was seized from his possession.
• Arrest of citizens (K.H.) and (R.B.) at Madfoun checkpoint - Batroun for possessing two handguns. Eight Syrians were also arrested for traveling within Lebanese territory without legal documentation.

The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and investigations with the arrestees were initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
