Army arrests four individuals for various offenses, including forming a gang involved in the trafficking of military weapons, and seizes drugs, drug-manufacturing equipment, military weapons, and ammunition
The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
An Army unit arrested citizen (M.B.) in Tyre following security monitoring and surveillance operations, for forming, together with others, a gang involved in the trafficking of military weapons, in addition to instigating disturbances. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining members of the gang.
Another Army unit raided the homes of individuals wanted for drug trafficking offenses in Dar Al Wasaa – Baalbek, seizing a quantity of drugs as well as equipment used for their manufacture.
An Army unit also arrested citizens (D.D.) and (D.R.D.) at the Safri checkpoint – Baalbek, for possessing a quantity of hashish, as well as military weapons and ammunition.
Another unit raided the homes of wanted individuals in Tabbaneh - Tripoli, and arrested citizen (S.AA.) for possessing several hand grenades, which were seized.
The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and the investigation with the detainees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
