The Army Command Clarifies Circumstances Surrounding Videos Being Recirculated on Social Media: Necessary Measures Were Taken at the Time

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Video clips are being circulated by certain accounts on social media, accompanied by allegations concerning the torture of arrestees and the shooting of individuals by military personnel.
The Army Command clarifies that these videos are old and were filmed several years ago, and that the necessary measures were taken at the time.
The Command also warns that the recirculation of these videos at this stage is intended to incite hostility against the Army, tarnish its image, and create tensions within Lebanon in pursuit of suspicious agendas and narrow factional interests.
