Army Commander-in-Chief Attends Live-Fire Exercise in the Britel highlands and Inspects the 4th Land Border Regiment: ‘Those Who Do Not Resemble Their Army Do Not Resemble Their Homeland.’

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Army Commander-in-Chief General Rodolph Haykal attended a live-fire training exercise in the Britel highlands, conducted by the 4th Land Border Regiment and other ground units, with the participation of the Air Force.

He then inspected the headquarters of the 4th Land Border Regiment, where he inaugurated the operations room and reviewed its modern equipment used to carry out missions, particularly border monitoring and protection. He also inaugurated a memorial commemorating the regiment’s fallen soldiers.

General Haykal praised the professionalism of the servicemen, saying: “I draw strength and determination from you, and I see the faith and high morale you possess. You give hope to every Lebanese person and stand ready to confront anyone who attempts to harm our homeland.”

He stressed the importance of continuous training and coordination among units, noting that the leadership’s primary objective is to develop the institution’s capabilities through its own resources, while also working to secure the necessary support for the Army from friend and brotherly countries.

He also highlighted the Army’s role in serving the national interest, saying: “Through our efforts and sacrifices, we seek to preserve Lebanon’s security and internal stability.” Addressing the soldiers, he added: “Whoever does not resemble his army does not resemble his homeland.”

He further stated: “We will not abandon our fundamental missions of defending every inch of our land.”
