The Army Commander-in-Chief, General Rodolph Haykal, inspected a number of military units in Beirut and Sidon, reviewing the security measures implemented within their areas of responsibility.
He addressed the soldiers, stressing the importance of maintaining readiness to prevent any security breaches and acting firmly against attempts to undermine internal stability.
He stated: “Despite rumors and incitement campaigns that seek to downplay the sacrifices and efforts of the military, the army will not hesitate to carry out its national duties.” He added: “Soldiers must not be influenced by these rumors, and should remain committed to their principles and to fulfilling their national duty.”
