The Lebanese Armed Forces Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

In light of the barbaric and increasing assaults by the Israeli enemy on various Lebanese regions, resulting in the loss of martyrs, injuries, and significant destruction, the Lebanese Armed Forces Command wishes to clarify that the Lebanese Armed Forces, which is deployed across the entire country including the southern borders, is fulfilling its national responsibilities, offering martyrs and wounded, and maintaining its readiness to defend the land within the available means. This is based on the decisions and directives of the political authority to take appropriate actions to protect Lebanon and the military institution while adhering to Resolution 1701 and its provisions in close coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Some media outlets are launching campaigns of slander, falsehood, and treason against the military institution and its Command for narrow interests and political objectives. The Army Command affirms that it will not engage in disputes or competitions and is not concerned with any files or entitlements. The Command’s priority today is to protect the institution, maintain its cohesion, halt the aggression, support citizens, manage the displacement crisis, and continue rescue operations in coordination with the relevant agencies while preserving civil peace and internal stability.

Experience has shown that the army is the backbone of Lebanon and the guarantee for all Lebanese, emphasizing the importance of their unity around it. We look forward to the success of international efforts to stop Israeli aggression as soon as possible.

The army remains steadfast, driven by the determination, faith, and will of its soldiers, and by the unity of the Lebanese around its unifying role. What is needed today is to maintain national unity to preserve Lebanon, which will overcome this ordeal just as it has overcome past crises and challenges.
