The army continues its deployment in the southern Litani area, with its units expanding their presence in the eastern sector
The Lebanese Armed Forces Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
In light of the ongoing efforts to complete the terms of the ceasefire agreement, the army maintains its readiness to continue its deployment in the southern Litani area as soon as the Israeli enemy withdraws from it, and to follow up on the implementation of Resolution 1701 and its provisions.
In this context, military units have completed their deployment at several points in the town of Kfarshouba-Hasbaya in the eastern sector after the withdrawal of the Israeli enemy, in coordination with the five-member committee overseeing the ceasefire agreement (Mechanism) and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon - UNIFIL.
Therefore, the Army Command urges citizens not to approach areas from which the enemy is withdrawing and to adhere to the instructions of military units until the deployment is completed and specialized units finish conducting engineering surveys and clearing those areas of mines and suspicious remnants from the Israeli aggression.
