The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

The army continues to pursue those disrupting security and combat drug trafficking, conducting surveillance and tracking operations for wanted individuals. In this context, units of the army, supported by patrols from the Intelligence Directorate, carried out raids and arrested four individuals as follows:

  • Arrest of two citizens (K.B.) and (D.AA.) in Qab Elias - Zahle for firing gunshots.
  • Arrest of a citizen (A.Y.) in Nahle - Baalbek, with a military weapon in his possession.
  • Arrest of an individual known as (M.H.) on Hamra Street - Beirut, with weapons, ammunition, and a quantity of drugs in his possession.

Additionally, a unit of the army, assisted by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the residences of wanted individuals in Boudai - Baalbek, seizing equipment for drug production and destroying a cannabis plantation.

An army unit also seized approximately 52,000 Captagon pills at the Lebanese -Syrian border in Masharih Al Qaa - Hermel.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees began under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, while efforts continue to apprehend the remaining suspects.
