Arrest of 19 Lebanese, 1 Palestinian, and 128 Syrians across various Lebanese regions as part of exceptional security measures
The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On March 31, 2026, army units arrested 19 Lebanese citizens and one Palestinian for committing various crimes, including possession of weapons and military ammunition and opening fire. A quantity of weapons was seized, in addition to military equipment, as well as a number of illegal vehicles and motorcycles. The army also arrested 128 Syrians for illegally entering Lebanese territory.
These actions come within the framework of exceptional security measures carried out by the military institution across various Lebanese regions, aimed at maintaining internal security and stability.
The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
