Arrest of 3 individuals in Brital Town - Baalbek for forming a car theft gang

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 13/02/2024, a patrol from the Directorate of intelligence raided the residence of the Lebanese citizen (A.T.) in Brital - Beqaa for his involvement in forming a car theft gang consisting of Syrians (AA.Kh.) and (AA.F.) and the Lebanese (Kh.AA.). During the raid, the patrol came under fire and responded in kind, resulting the injuries of the Lebanese (Kh.AA.) and the Syrian (AA.F.). Stolen cars and a number of military weapons and ammunition were seized at the residence.
The mentioned patrol also arrested the Lebanese (M.T.), who is wanted for committing car theft, and forging documents and money. During his arrest, he attempted to throw a grenade towards the patrol. The grenade and a quantity of Captagon pills were confiscated in his possession, along with counterfeit money.
The confiscated items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
