The arrest of 5 citizens in different areas within the framework of pursuits and security measures

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Within the framework of pursuits and security measures carried out by military units and the Intelligence Directorate in various regions, 5 citizens have been arrested as follows:
-    The arrest of the citizen (M.A.) in the port of Tripoli for opening fire and possessing a handgun without a permit.
-    The arrest of the citizen (A.S.) in Al Qubbah - Tripoli for possessing a possessing a handgun without a permit.
-    The raid of the residence of the citizen (J.N.) in Haql Al Azeema - Denniyeh and his arrest. In which a large quantity of firearms and ammunition were seized.
-    The raid of the residence of the wanted citizen (B.A.) in Kfarshellan – Dennyieh. In which a large quantity of firearms and ammunition were seized. Noting that he was previously arrested.
-    The arrest of the citizen (H.Y.) in Boudai - Baalbek for not complying with the orders of the patrol and attempting to escape from it. Two military rifles, a handgun, ammunition, and an amount of hashish were found inside his car.
-    The raid of wanted individuals’ residences in Ain Al Sawda – Baalbek. In which an amount of ammunition and drugs, in addition to equipment for their manufacture were seized.
The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
