Arrest of 5 Syrians and Liberation of 3 Syrian Women and a Child in the Camps of Betdaai and Bechouat - Bekaa

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 10/07/2024, following a family clash between Syrians in two camps for Syrian refugees in Betdaai and Bechouat - Bekaa, an Army unit supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the camps and arrested 5 Syrians. They also freed 3 Syrian women and a child whom the implicated parties had kidnapped during the clash.

The investigation with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
