Arrest of 6 Citizens as Part of Security Measures

The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On April 5, 2025, as part of security measures, an army unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the residences of wanted individuals in the Hay al Selloum – Dahiye Janoubiyeh, and arrested citizens (M.Sh.), (AA.Sh.), (O.Q.), and (M.Z.) for shooting and committing armed robbery, seizing military weapons and ammunition in their possession.
Additionally, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in Tyre arrested citizen (A.D.), a member of a gang involved in armed robbery, theft, and extortion, which terrorizes citizens in Tyre and its suburbs. The arrestee is wanted for shooting at an individual and injuring him, and military weapons and a quantity of ammunition were seized in his possession.
Moreover, an army unit at the Madfoun checkpoint – North arrested the citizen (Y.Y.) for possessing a quantity of drugs.
The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
