Arrest of 6 Individuals in Jalala - Bekaa and Qobbeh - North for Committing Various Crimes

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 25/8/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided the residence of the Syrian (M.S.) in Jalala - Bekaa, and arrested him for leading a gang active in drug trafficking and prostitution, and for opening fire several times, the latest of which was towards the home of a journalist. They also arrested 3 Syrian women working for him.
On 26/8/2024, an Army unit supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate raided an office belonging to the citizen (S.I.) in |Al Qobbeh - North, and arrested him and his son (M.I.) for opening fire. They confiscated 3 military rifles, 2 pistols and a quantity of ammunition, as well as military equipment.
The seized items were handed over, and the arrestees are being investigated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
